Why should you use Dance Plan Depot?
We have taken the time and energy to create dance class lesson plans that are educational and technical so that you don’t have to. Our lesson plans will help you show up to class prepared with written lesson plans, pre-choreographed dance combos to teach, professional visual aids for each class, unique playlists, and creative ideas and inspiration. We want to provide all the help we can to dance teachers BEFORE class, so they can do what they do best…teach IN class!
Hi! I'm Whitney...
I graduated from Brigham Young University with a BA in Dance Education, and performed nationally and internationally with the BYU Dancers’ Company for three years. I have choreographed for the American College Dance Festival at the regional and national levels, and performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC. I have taught at the college, high school, junior high, and elementary levels. I owned and taught at a studio in the greater New York City area, and have taught at various schools and studios in Utah, where I now call home.
Why do I have a passion for helping dance teachers?
I received a BA in dance education and became a public school dance teacher, studio teacher, and studio owner, and still struggled with the amount of time it took to plan educational dance lessons that were meaningful to me and my students. On top of being a teacher, I am also a mom of three, and all the prep time was having an impact on my family time. I knew once I had created meaningful lesson plans that my students would enjoy, I could pass those plans on to others, and help them have the same results, without all the prep!
